What is Multi-factor Authentication & Why are we doing this?
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is a security process that requires two or more separate steps for a user to prove their identity and dramatically decreases the risk of ransomware attacks on the district. By combining MFA and authentication using MCS App Portal for our Google and Microsoft accounts we will improve our security and protection of student and district information. Most of you have experienced MFA with your personal accounts, i.e. your Banking Account, etc...
